Greetings Fellow District 19 Residents and Interested Parties,
Today, the role of the District 19 Democratic Club plays in our community might be significantly different than it was when it first began. Our mission extends beyond fundraising to include, but not be limited to, creating awareness through providing and distributing information, encouraging disclosure and availability from public officials and providing forums for such exchanges just to name a few. Ultimately, we hope to create lasting partnerships between party leaders, grassroots workers and the voters in our district.
We understand that with each national or local election, we have an opportunity to encourage the kind of change necessary for everyone to lead the most fulfilled life. We hope you will join us as we strive to be the catalysts for that change. We also recognize that we must be vigilant in identifying and the problems that plague us while not alienating segments of the population that share our ideals without always agreeing on the approach. The only way to accomplish this is to encourage the types of partnerships that provide insight, honesty and perspective. We hope you will join us in our efforts by attending our meetings, sharing your ideas and participating in sponsored activities. We look forward to working with you.
